Baby joy for newest Wiggle Sam Moran

20 January 2010

DOROTHY the Dinosaur has given birth to a bouncing girl.

Lyn Stuckey and Yellow Wiggle Sam Moran are celebrating the birth of their first child, Eloise Isabella Moran, who was born on Monday in Sydney, weighing 3kg.

Moran said Eloise was born two weeks earlier then expected and had thick black hair "like her dad".

Moran replaced Greg Page as the Yellow Wiggle in 2006, after Page was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance - a debilitating chronic condition that affects balance, breathing and co-ordination.

Moran, who joined the popular kids' entertainers in a minor role in 1998, met Stuckey in 2003, when she was performing as Dorothy the Dinosaur with the group.

The pair toured together for several years before Stuckey decided the gruelling tour schedule was too much for her.

Moran said he had also been busy working on his "other baby", his first solo album, Colour of Love.

The album will be released on April 9.
